I have begun to read:
The 5,000 Year Leap
A Miracle That Changed the World
W. Cleon Skousen
It is a book Glenn Beck recommends every American Patriot read. All I will say about Glenn Beck is that thank God we have him telling us what is going on and reminding us the importance of reaching back into history to foundationally remember the birth of our nation.
Glenn Beck has written the forward for this book. He recalls his "aha" moment while in Manhattan. He says, "We the People" in the Declaration of Independence stands out as a "beacon". I believe too it is a beacon of light to guide us back to American principles. At this moment we live in a time when it seems our American spirit is lost and needs to be rekindled and taken home.
Glenn Beck says:
"The words of our Founding Fathers have a way of reaching across any political divide. They are words of wisdom that I can only describe as divinely inspired. They are here for us to help solve the unsolvable—and they are the reason why we have for so long been the greatest nation on earth."
The sacrifices and time spent by the men who debated, agreed, and then debated again just to ensure we, over 200 plus years later, would be able to live with freedom of choice; they set up a government of the people for the people.
Ronald Reagan quotes:
"Our natural, inalienable rights are now considered to be a dispensation from government, and freedom has never been so fragile, so close to slipping from our grasp as it is at this moment."
Study the Founding Fathers, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and The Articles of Declaration. There is power in knowledge-make yourself knowledgeable. I am going to learn whatever I can muster in a day. Even a half hour of study a day is better than ignorance.
