Another Patriot Act passed for our own good..DON'T let it, ACT NOW!

"Americans find it intolerable that one constitutional right should have to be surrendered in order to assert another. America is the land of the free and home of the brave -- we don't need a Patriot Act, because we are already patriots. We know freedom means responsibility, but I am not sure Congress and its domestic enforcement agencies do. More often than not, new security measures enacted by the government have resulted in more violations of the citizenry than terrorists have ever done. The terrorists want us to be afraid -- well, we are not afraid.

Stop wasting dollars on this program -- it is not good for America. To give up essential liberty for a little security provides neither. The right to be left alone from government intrusion is the beginning of all freedoms."

Information about the bill:

http://foodfreedom.wordpress.com/2010/04/24/s-510-is-hissing-in-the-grass/

"The Senate voted to approve a cloture motion today, November 17, with a 74-25 vote, well above the 60 votes required to limit debate on S. 510. This sets a dangerous precedent and is a momentum builder for passing even more controversial legislation as the lame duck session continues. Clearly, many Republicans crossed the aisle for this very unconstitutional bill.  The Food Safety Act can now be brought to the floor any day now for a final vote by the Senate. Only a simple majority will be required for passage."

If you believe food safety is best achieved at the local level, contact your senators immediately to express your opposition to such plans. Have them do everything in their power to defeat S. 510.

A site to help you send a letter to your Senators, there is no excuse not to...

Oops, the Senator went off script...

"There's a little bug inside of me which wants to get the FCC to say to FOX and to MSNBC: "Out. Off. End. Goodbye." It would be a big favor to political discourse; our ability to do our work here in Congress, and to the American people, to be able to talk with each other and have some faith in their government and more importantly, in their future."

Are You Kidding Me!

A caller on today's Glenn Beck radio show said he was a constituent of Senator Rockefeller and had called the Senator's  office regarding this statement.  The aide said the Senator just went off script.

HUH???

Taking FOX off the air,

the Senator said, "... would be a big favor to political discourse; our ability to do our work here in Congress, ...."

Taking FOX off the air,

the Patriots say, Congress would then bankrupt the U.S. and really fundamentally transform America!

You can tell this is one Senator who hasn't read the Constitution!

A sad thought:
If the Tea Party population are mostly OLDER Americans who believe in the history and endurance of the American government, what will our country look like when they are gone.
Younger Americans who want don't want
Socialism/Communism
need to step up to the plate now!

How much do you work just to pay your taxes?

A great quote:

According to the Tax Foundation, the average American worker works 127 days of the year just to pay his taxes. That means that government owns 36 percent of the average American’s output—which is more than feudal serfs owed the robber barons. That 36 percent is more than the average American spends on food, clothing and housing. In other words, if it were not for taxes, the average American’s living standard would at least double.

-- Paul Craig Roberts (1939- ) Economist, former Assistant Secretary of the Treasury in the Reagan Administration ("Father of Reaganomics"), former editor and columnist for the Wall Street Journal, Business Week, and Scripps Howard News Service.

This is why we all must take part in the governmental decisions that are local, state, and federal.  Voting for representatives does, ultimately, effect your livelihood because of the decisions they make.

We must hold them accountable and make sure they hear our voice!

Would you trust a stranger with your bank account?

The answer must be yes, because you do it on a daily  basis.  As the representatives, you chose or chose not to choose, make decisions with your money all the time.

Think about it?????

Who Is That Man Behind the Curtain?

If you do not watch Glenn Beck you should at least watch these three parts of Glenn's shows where he uncovers information about billionaire George Soros' influence and manipulation on world policy as well as the direction of America.

One of my favorite quotes:

"Educate and inform the whole mass of the people... They are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty."

~Thomas Jefferson

Educate yourself, visit the library, do your own research but,

"Keep informed,
question with boldness,
hold to the truth,
and speak without fear."

Know What You Want and Defend It!

Is this What You Want?

"We ask that government undertake the obligation above all of providing citizens with adequate opportunity for employment and earning a living.

The activities of the individual must not be allowed to clash with the interests of the community, but must take place within the confines and be for the good of all.

Therefore, we  Demand:

... an end to the power of financial interest.

We demand profit sharing in big business.

We demand a broad extension of care for the aged.

We demand ... the greatest possible consideration of small business in the purchases of the national, state, and municipal governments.

In order to make possible to every capable and industrious [citizen] the attainment of higher education and thus the achievement of a post of leadership, the government must provide an all-around enlargement of our system of public education....

We demand the education at government expense of gifted children of poor parents....

The government must undertake the improvement of public health -- by protecting mother and child, by prohibiting child labor -- by the greatest possible support for all groups concerned with the physical education of youth.

[W]e combat the ... materialistic spirit within and without us, and are convinced that a permanent recovery of our people can only proceed from within on the foundation of The Common Good Before the Individual Good."

America's Worth Fighting For

A couple of months ago Guitar Man said that we ought to write a Patriotic song.  So one morning, since I now do not have long nails, I picked up the guitar and found a chord progression I liked.  I showed it to my Guitar man, Alex.  He liked it too and thus became the makings of our Patriotic song.

My daughter and I love to sing so we thought since we couldn't get Carrie Underwood that we would sing it for you.  Please understand that this was recorded with one microphone hooked to the computer.  I hope while listening, you will focus on the words,  pictures, and meanings of the song.

It is our wish that you take part in the voting process and the Patriotic cause to return our great country of America to its Constitutional beginnings as intended by the Founding Men and Women of the United States.

    The Country Worth Fighting For

Lyrics and music by Joan and Alex Lopez
    Vocals: Joan and Autumn lopez
    Guitar: Alex Lopez

On the road I have traveled
    Things that I have seen
    Patriots in all their glory
    America's worth fighting for

Feel the breeze of the ocean
    Waves cast from the sea
Stand high on a rock with your freedom
    America's worth fighting for

    Standing alone in the forest
    Giants fought to be heard
    Declaring their right to liberty
    America's worth fighting for

Climbing to the crest of a mountain
    Challenges each breath you take
Hold firm to yourself you will make it
    America's worth fighting for

    Friends meet in the city
Cowboys raise dust on the plains
The old bell anchors our nation
    America's worth fighting for

America,

Our America,
    is worth fighting for....

We Need A Hero

In America we need a Hero! Someone, man or woman, who will bring this country back to its Greatness! A Hero who loves God and respects America and is willing to be diligent in supporting the Constitution as our Founding Fathers and George Washington intended. Where will we find that Hero; You?

Thank you for visiting and watching my first video.
