Another Patriot Act passed for our own good..DON'T let it, ACT NOW!

"Americans find it intolerable that one constitutional right should have to be surrendered in order to assert another. America is the land of the free and home of the brave -- we don't need a Patriot Act, because we are already patriots. We know freedom means responsibility, but I am not sure Congress and its domestic enforcement agencies do. More often than not, new security measures enacted by the government have resulted in more violations of the citizenry than terrorists have ever done. The terrorists want us to be afraid -- well, we are not afraid.

Stop wasting dollars on this program -- it is not good for America. To give up essential liberty for a little security provides neither. The right to be left alone from government intrusion is the beginning of all freedoms."

"The Senate voted to approve a cloture motion today, November 17, with a 74-25 vote, well above the 60 votes required to limit debate on S. 510. This sets a dangerous precedent and is a momentum builder for passing even more controversial legislation as the lame duck session continues. Clearly, many Republicans crossed the aisle for this very unconstitutional bill.  The Food Safety Act can now be brought to the floor any day now for a final vote by the Senate. Only a simple majority will be required for passage."

If you believe food safety is best achieved at the local level, contact your senators immediately to express your opposition to such plans. Have them do everything in their power to defeat S. 510.

Oops, the Senator went off script...

"There's a little bug inside of me which wants to get the FCC to say to FOX and to MSNBC: "Out. Off. End. Goodbye." It would be a big favor to political discourse; our ability to do our work here in Congress, and to the American people, to be able to talk with each other and have some faith in their government and more importantly, in their future."

Are You Kidding Me!

 

A caller on today's Glenn Beck radio show said he was a constituent of Senator Rockefeller and had called the Senator's  office regarding this statement.  The aide said the Senator just went off script. 

HUH???

Taking FOX off the air,

the Senator said, "... would be a big favor to political discourse; our ability to do our work here in Congress, ...."

Taking FOX off the air,

the Patriots say, Congress would then bankrupt the U.S. and really fundamentally transform America!  

You can tell this is one Senator who hasn't read the Constitution!

 
A sad thought:
If the Tea Party population are mostly OLDER Americans who believe in the history and endurance of the American government, what will our country look like when they are gone.
Younger Americans who want don't want
Socialism/Communism
need to step up to the plate now!

How much do you work just to pay your taxes?

This is why we all must take part in the governmental decisions that are local, state, and federal.  Voting for representatives does, ultimately, effect your livelihood because of the decisions they make. 

We must hold them accountable and make sure they hear our voice! 

Would you trust a stranger with your bank account? 

The answer must be yes, because you do it on a daily  basis.  As the representatives, you chose or chose not to choose, make decisions with your money all the time.

America's Worth Fighting For

A couple of months ago Guitar Man said that we ought to write a Patriotic song.  So one morning, since I now do not have long nails, I picked up the guitar and found a chord progression I liked.  I showed it to my Guitar man, Alex.  He liked it too and thus became the makings of our Patriotic song.

My daughter and I love to sing so we thought since we couldn't get Carrie Underwood that we would sing it for you.  Please understand that this was recorded with one microphone hooked to the computer.  I hope while listening, you will focus on the words,  pictures, and meanings of the song. 

It is our wish that you take part in the voting process and the Patriotic cause to return our great country of America to its Constitutional beginnings as intended by the Founding Men and Women of the United States.

At a time when our country is dangerously in debt and looking for areas of federal spending to cut, I think we’ve found a good candidate for defunding. National Public Radio is a public institution that directly or indirectly exists because the taxpayers fund it. And what do we, the taxpayers, get for this? We get to witness Juan Williams being fired from NPR for merely speaking frankly about the very real threat this country faces from radical Islam.

We have to have an honest discussion about the jihadist threat. Are we not allowed to say that Muslim terrorists have killed thousands of Americans and continue to plot the deaths of thousands more? Are we not allowed to say that there are Muslim states that aid and abet these fanatics? Are we not allowed to even debate the role that radical Islam plays in inciting this violence?

I don’t expect Juan Williams to support me (he’s said some tough things about me in the past) – but I will always support his right and the right of all Americans to speak honestly about the threats this country faces. And for Juan, speaking honestly about these issues isn’t just his right, it’s his job. Up until yesterday, he was doing that job at NPR. Firing him is their loss.

If NPR is unable to tolerate an honest debate about an issue as important as Islamic terrorism, then it’s time for “National Public Radio” to become “National Private Radio.” It’s time for Congress to defund this organization.

NPR says its mission is “to create a more informed public,” but by stifling debate on these issues, NPR is doing exactly the opposite. President Obama should make clear his commitment to free and honest discussion of the jihadist threat in our public debates – and Congress should make clear that unless NPR provides that public service, not one more dime.

As the World Turns

The world keeps spinning and our country is changing before our eyes...

I have not written on my blogs much lately but I have been getting involved politically in a little bit of everything.

If you read Americana By Candlelight, maybe you saw my posts for the Rallies I have attended.  I have been volunteering  at the campaign office for the Congressman in my district, attending Tea Party activities, reading, listening, and learning as much as I can, and praying for the country that I love.

To be honest,in-between times I get overwhelmed by it all and 

Sad, because

........ we are losing our freedoms

........ Americans still are not taking an interest

........ globalization will affect our basic needs

........ corrupt politicians run our country

........ of the devaluing of the Constitution

........ we are missing God, values , and morals

in our life.

 

I pick myself up by being with other Americans who are fighting for our Constitution, and an American way of life for their self, children, and grandchildren.  If you are not involved and continue to live as if tomorrow will not end.  Then make sure you thank the Americans whose days are spent to ensure an American tomorrow.  Of course, we could use your help.

And if....

you are an American believing in big government, collectivism, redistribution of wealth, globalization, Marxism, and Communism then you should not wear the the title of  "American " and there are many other countries that you could call your home.

The Signers, "Paying the Price"

We forget or have never been told that the signers, and their families, of the Declaration of Independence continued to suffer after declaring their independence. There are so many stories to be heard. Here are just a few:

As the British moved across the colonies following America’s announcement of separation, they sought out the 56 who had signed the Declaration to ensure that they paid an especially high and brutal price for their action. Consider some of the sacrifices made by today’s forgotten signers.

FOUNDING FACT

It may seem unusual to have 13 children today, but among the signers of the Declaration, Carter Braxton had 16; Roger Sherman and William Ellery each had 15; Benjamin Rush, 13; Josiah Bartlett, 12; etc. In that day, large families were common, but often many, and sometimes most, of the children never lived to adulthood. In the 1770s the average lifespan in America was 35 years; today it is 78.

JOHN HART of New Jersey was 65 when he signed the Declaration. In late 1776, he was at the bedside of his ailing wife when the British

approached, seeking his life. To secure his wife’s safety and that of his 13 children, he left ahead of the British, believing that his family would be safer if he were gone.

With Hart absent, the British spared the lives of his family, but not their possessions. The property was looted, belongings destroyed, and the family scattered.

Over the next several months, the British searched for Hart, but he was able to elude them at great cost to himself. Throughout that winter, the elderly Hart lived in the mountains and woods, constantly moving. Occasionally he would stay with friends, but often he slept in the woods, burying himself under leaves or hiding under rotted logs. On one occasion, he even crawled into a dog house and spent the night with the large hound in order to elude British pursuers.

When the British left the area the next spring, he returned home only to find his estate in ruins and discover that his wife had died. He never regained his health and succumbed well before the end of the Revolution, never witnessing the independence he had so strongly sought for his countrymen.

RICHARD STOCKTON of New Jersey was a signer who fell prey to his own neighbors. Unfortunately, it was not just the British against whom the patriots had to be on constant guard; often it was their neighbors—the "Loyalists" who supported the British cause.

One night while Stockton was safely asleep in his own bed, a number of Loyalists entered his home, seized and dragged him off to a prison ship where he was starved, abused, and tortured.

Significantly, 4,435 Americans died in battle during the Revolution, but 11,500 died as prisoners of war. Of the numerous British prisons, the two most deadly were the prison ship Jersey and the Sugar House Prison.

The Sugar House Prison was a tall structure, dank and dirty. The smell of death and disease inside the prison made its air rancid and almost unbreathable. In fact, after the Revolution one former prisoner returned to the Sugar House and recounted to his friend:

For 12 months, that dark hole was my only home. And at that door I saw the corpse of my brother thrown into the dead-cart among a heap of others who had died in the night previous of the jail-fever. While the fever was raging, we were let out in companies of 20, for half-an-hour at a time, to breathe the fresh air; and inside we were so crowded that we divided our number into squads of six each. Number one stood 10 minutes as close to the window as they could crowd to catch the cool air, and then stepped back, when number two took their place, and so on. Seats? We had none; and our beds were but straw on the floor with vermin intermixed. And there is my kill-time work: "A.V.S. 1777"—viz. Abraham Van Sickler, which I scratched with an old nail. When peace came, some learned the fate of their fathers and brothers from such initials [carved into the walls].

The prison ship Jersey was equally abominable. It was a dismantled 64-gun British warship that housed 1,200 prisoners in the most deplorable conditions. The prisoners received infrequent rations, which were often spoiled or undercooked. Confinement on the Jersey was usually a death sentence, and for nearly a century after the Revolution, the bleached bones of American bodies could still be seen along the shore where the British dumped the dead overboard.

Stockton was eventually released from the prison ship, but he never regained his health; he survived only a few months. In his final weeks, Stockton knew he was dying. Concerned for the welfare of his family — especially his teenage children who would now grow up without the guiding hand of their loving father—he placed his temporal affairs in order and penned his last will and testament. Knowing that it would contain the final words that his beloved children would hear from him, he filled it with tender fatherly advice. Notice his dying words to his children:

[A]s my children will have frequent occasion of perusing this instrument, and may probably be particularly impressed with the last words of their father, I think it proper here not only to subscribe to the entire belief of the great and leading doctrines of the Christian religion… but also, in the bowels of a father’s affection, to exhort and charge them that the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom; that the way of life held up in the Christian system is calculated for the most complete happiness that can be enjoyed in this mortal state; that all occasions of vice and immorality is injurious either immediately or consequentially — even in this life.

FRANCIS LEWIS of New York was a wealthy merchant who had been a close ally of the British in the decades before the Revolution. When the British entered New York, they sought out their former ally now turned patriot. Unable to find him, they destroyed his home and took his wife, ELIZABETH LEWIS, as a prisoner of war. She was placed in a dungeon-like prison and kept in close, damp confinement for several months. She was allowed no bed or change of clothes, and only occasionally was food given to her. General Washington finally secured her release, but her health was so broken that she died shortly afterward. Francis Lewis lost not only his possessions but also his precious wife; he spent his last days "in comparative poverty, his independent fortune having in a great measure been sacrificed on the altar of patriotism."

Many other signers’ wives also suffered great privation, including MARTHA JEFFERSON, who lost several children during the Revolution. On one occasion, she was forced to flee with her small children just ahead of the marauding British. As a result of charging into the snow and freezing temperatures of a harsh winter with her children, her 3-month-old daughter became ill and died. Thomas and Martha shared much loss and grief: of their six children (five daughters and one son), only two lived to adulthood. Martha saw three of her children die before her (she died during the Revolution), and Thomas saw five of them buried.

Before the Revolution, THOMAS NELSON JR. of Virginia was one of the wealthiest men in America, owning a vast estate. When the British invaded Yorktown at the end of the war, Nelson was Virginia’s governor. His home was one of the finest, so British officers took it as a headquarters. During the siege of Yorktown, Nelson led the Virginia troops against the British, but the American soldiers, out of respect for their beloved commander, refused to level their artillery on Nelson’s home. Nelson therefore took charge of a battery and personally opened fire, aiming the first cannon at his own house. He then offered the gunners a reward of five guineas for every cannon ball that hit his home. Judging from the condition of his house after the battle, some of the gunners must have become rich! Nelson died shortly after the close of the war, a poor and broken man who had willingly given all in the cause of independence.

The price paid by the signers and their families was immense. The reason they sacrificed so much was summarized by Samuel Adams, who told fellow signer Benjamin Rush:

If it were revealed to me that 999 Americans out of 1,000 would perish in a war for liberty, I would vote for that war rather than see my country enslaved. The survivors in such a war, though few, would propagate a nation of freemen.

How can we not be thankful and reverent to those we owe so much...

Just Another Piece of Information

On April 8 in Prague, President Obama signed what is called the New START bilateral arms control agreement. It reads like it was written by the Russians and has nothing good in it for the United States.

  • The treaty allows Russia to build new and modern weapons to reach New START limits, whereas the United States is locked into reducing its current number. That means Russia will have new and tested weapons, but the U.S. will be stuck with its current, out-of-date, untested warheads.
  • New START allows the United States to have only as many nuclear warheads as Russia can afford to build. And Russia gets to set the count of weapons.
  • New START gives up the verification, on-site inspections and monitoring of production that were requirements of previous treaties. Whatever happened to Ronald Reagan's maxim, "Trust, but verify"?
  • This treaty gives Russia a veto over all U.S. defenses against incoming missiles. Article V contains a binding clause that we "shall not convert and shall not use ICBM launchers and (submarine-launched ballistic missile) launchers for placement of missile defense interceptors therein."

The wisdom of the Founding Fathers is available to save us from New START folly -- i.e., the constitutional provision that ratification requires approval by two-thirds of senators. That's the provision the globalists hate the most.

Our Constitution can save us from New START if 34 senators will stand up for America.

Did you know?

Are you kidding me, can there be a clearer picture?

Here is, Donald Berwick, Obama's appointee to run Health Care in America, whose economic system has become more Socialistic since 2008. 

Berwick was appointed, of course, during the Independence Weekend Holiday.  Shouldn't someone with the power to make decisions that affect our health be vetted before being appointed?  Well this doesn't happen if the President doesn't want the appointee to have to be scrutinized.

My church has a slogan that I’d like to share with you. It reminds us that we are all capable of being involved to strengthen what we believe in. It is -Time, Talent and Treasure. I recently attended a local GOP women’s club meeting where the Chairman of the VA GOP spoke to the members. I was struck by what he had to say about political financing. He told us that although the popular thought is that the Republicans are the party of the wealthy, it actually turns out that the Dems are and have always been much better funded in their elections. His point was that it was, “the message,” that brought victory over the massive spending of the Democrats. I didn’t stay with his point. I was struck that the GOP is still being way out spent. That scared me because today, it smacks of corruption. What can we do to push back against them? How can we promote the “message?” In an excellent column in the Washington Examiner Timothy P. Carney alerts us to one of these heavily funded campaigns: The drug companies are spending big to help re-elect Sen. Harry Reid (D-PhRMA). Reid has done so much to help the pharmaceutical giants. The drug lobby has begun a pro-Reid TV blitz in his home state of Nevada... The narrator then instructs viewers to "call Harry Reid today; tell him to keep fighting for Nevada families."... But "Nevada families" didn't pay for the ad. The drug lobby did. In the end, PhRMA shaped "reform" as it wanted. The group ran millions of dollars of ads supporting the bill. Reid passed it. Now PhRMA is doing heavy lifting for Reid. Reid has received $154,000 from Pharma PACs as of May 30, making him the No. 2 recipient behind Sen. Richard Burr, R-N.C., whose base is in the Research Triangle. Reid is the only politician to get the maximum $10,000 contribution from PhRMA as of the end of May. He's also the only senator to get the max from Eli Lilly's PAC. The health sector is Reid's prime source of PAC funds: half a million dollars already -- and that doesn't count the TV buys. So…..,what are YOU going to do? Are you going to give of your time? Some of us are strapped for time. However, this cause needs advertisers. Be bold and be visible. This doesn’t require ANY of your time. Think of all of the places you might go in a day. ( I recently drove up to the Jersey Shore with my campaign and Tea Party sticker on my car window. The nicest people come up to you, out of the wood work! So many people are supportive and appreciative. ) This is very visible, free advertising! You can put on a button, hang up a poster, read a book in plain view, put a sticker or flag on the window of your car or door at home. Free stickers, lawn signs and bumper stickers are available at your local campaign headquarters for the candidate that represents your values. Call and ask them to send some to you. That’s a great step and a worthy statement. You can advertise and spread the word as you simply go about your day. This is very effective and much needed. Are you going to give of your talent? Can you sing? Put something on You-tube. Can you write? Send out letters to the editor of your local paper. Are you good on the internet? Cut and paste together information and send it out. Do you throw parties? Pull people together for a fundraiser. Are you good at speaking? You can work the phone banks or give positive support with a phone call. Do you have office skills to lend voluntarily? Help send out flyers, or canvas your own neighborhood. Recently Ken Cuccinelli's son ran a Paintball fundraiser. He took his hobby and turned it into a fundraiser! Is there something that you like to do that could be turned into a fundraiser? Do you quilt? Get together and auction one for the cause! Lastly, are you blessed with treasure? No-a-days, that could be a tough one to consider. If you are able to give, there are candidates all over the country who need your financial help. But treasure isn’t just money. Do you have a car and gas enough to drive around and put up signs? Is your home in a good location for a meeting or fundraiser? Is your whole family able to work together on a project? Can you cook? Offer your talent for a fundraiser or meeting meal. Is there something that you are good at that you can share with others? These are treasures too. These are dire times for our conservative values. You must make it a point to give of your Time, Talent or Treasure. Get up and get to it!

Very Moving...

Inalienable or Unalienable Rights, which is it?

This post came about because I lost a Facebook friend, (who I discovered actually blocked me) due to my views and speech about the status of our country and our current administration.  I started to think how sad it was that my freedom of speech so offended her that she had to not only unfriend me but block herself from me. 

Hmm should we begrudge one another's freedom of speech?  What if we unfriended everyone with opposing views to ours?

  I am glad I have many more FB friends that grant me my freedom of speech and still choose to be my friend.

This leads me to...  Freedom of Speech,  is it an unalienable right or an inalienable right? 

I have been thinking for awhile about our  inalienable rights...or wait is it  unalienable.  I'm confused.

So I looked at the Declaration of Independence and it says "unalienable".  I continued with some more internet research on both of these words because it is not clear in my mind what is their difference, particularly in relation to the principles laid down by the Founding Fathers.

How many of us stop to think about what they mean, is the meaning different, what rights do we actually have as given by our Declaration of Independence?

I would like to share with you some of my research.

I  always start with a definition, these were found online:

 Inalienable: not able to be transferred to another;

Unalienable: incapable of being repudiated or transferred to another

This definition sounds the same to me, are they interchangeable.

The Declaration of Independence says:

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."

Hmm they used unalienable. 

Well, after visiting some sites I have found that Jefferson's draft of the Declaration used "inalienable" rights, when it was published they decided to use "unalienable".  A side note, at the Jefferson Memorial in Washington DC they used "inalienable".  Hmm is there a message there?

The natural rights of life and liberty are UNALIENABLE. Bouviers Law Dictionary 1856 Edition

"Unalienable: incapable of being alienated, that is, sold and transferred." Black's Law Dictionary, Sixth Edition, page 1523:

Inalienable rights: Rights which are not capable of being surrendered or transferred without the consent of the one possessing such rights. Morrison v. State, Mo. App., 252 S.W.2d 97, 101.

I found that the word inalienable is used more today that during the Founding Father's time.  At that time "unalienable" was used more often.  One thought is that the changes to the original draft might have been in part because they wanted to choose words more familiar to their readers.  That makes sense.

As we learn about our Founding Fathers we need to understand their thinking and their thought processes behind the documents that first established our country.

I agree with this statement from the website below:

"This little discrepancy between unalienable and inalienable rights is perhaps the most serious problem not currently being dealt with today. It is probably the very reason that our Constitution and especially the Bill Of Rights has been under almost constant assault for a very long time. Look at how easily inattention to language and true knowledge of meaning began to set us up for so many things that would lead to our current crisis."

If you like reading a compilation of short stories and want to know more about the people that lived in the time of the American Revolution I would recommend this book.

This is just a small section of one of the stories which goes on to tell about the signers of the Declaration of Independence and things that happened to them and their families.  The following story talks about those that didn't sign but still sacrificed for the future of America.

My husband is reading this book first but he has enjoyed it so much we have purchased a copy for us to own.  This copy is from the library.  He has read excerpts from it to me before we fall asleep.  I will be adding it to the many historical non-fiction books I am currently reading.  It is my suggestion for your reading list too. 

A short sacrifice for us to pay is to spend time learning as much as we can about the men and women that sacrificed so much for our freedom, love America.♥

You probably missed it in the rush of news last week, but there was actually a report that someone in Pakistan had published in a newspaper there an offer of a reward to anyone who killed an American, any American.

So I just thought I would write to let them know what an American is, so they would know when they found one.

An American is English…or French, or Italian, Irish, German, Spanish, Polish, Russian or Greek. An American may also be African, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Australian, Iranian, Asian, or Arab, or Pakistani, or Afghan.

An American is Christian, or he could be Jewish, or Buddhist, or Muslim. In fact, there are more Muslims in America than in Afghanistan. The only difference is that in America they are free to worship as each of them choose.

An American is also free to believe in no religion. For that he will answer only to God, not to the government, or to armed thugs claiming to speak for the government and for God.

An American is from the most prosperous land in the history of the world. The root of that prosperity can be found in the Declaration of Independence, which recognizes the God-given right of each man and woman to the pursuit of happiness.

An American is generous. Americans have helped out just about every other nation in the world in their time of need. When Afghanistan was overrun by the Soviet army 20 years ago, Americans came with arms and supplies to enable the people to win back their country. As of the morning of September 11, Americans had given more than any other nation to the poor in Afghanistan.

An American does not have to obey the mad ravings of ignorant, ungodly cruel, old men. American men will not be fooled into giving up their lives to kill innocent people, so that these foolish old men may hold on to power. American women are free to show their beautiful faces to the world, as each of them choose.

An American is free to criticize his government's officials when they are wrong, in his or her own opinion. Then he is free to replace them, by majority vote.

Americans welcome people from all lands, all cultures, all religions, because they are not afraid. They are not afraid that their history, their religion, their beliefs, will be overrun, or forgotten. That is because they know they are free to hold to their religion, their beliefs, their history, as each of them choose.

And just as Americans welcome all, they enjoy the best that everyone has to bring, from all over the world. The best science, the best technology, the best products, the best books, the best music, the best food, the best athletes.

Americans welcome the best, but they also welcome the least. The nation symbol of America welcomes your tired and your poor, the wretched refuse of your teeming shores, the homeless, tempest tossed.

These in fact are the people who built America. Many of them were working in the twin towers on the morning of September 11, earning a better life for their families.

So you can try to kill an American if you must. Hitler did. So did General Tojo and Stalin and Mao Tse-Tung, and every bloodthirsty tyrant in the history of the world.

But in doing so you would just be killing yourself. Because Americans are not a particular people from a particular place. They are the embodiment of the human spirit of freedom. Everyone who holds to that spirit, everywhere, is an American.

So look around you. You may find more Americans in your land than you thought were there. One day they will rise up and overthrow the old, ignorant, tired tyrants that trouble too many lands. Then those lands too will join the community of free and prosperous nations.

And America will welcome them.

This was written 9 years ago but it is still something we need to keep in mind today.  When we live in America we take many things for granted.  We go about our day wrapped up in our own pursuits and rarely, if ever for some, stop to think about why we can ...

I am thankful to the writers in this country who make us stop for a moment, breathe, and reflect on what it means to be an  American.  To live in this great country which embodies the Constitution, that our Founding Heroes sacrificed to give us.  We owe it to them and ourselves to bury complacency, and stop the Progressive movement in our America.

We are Americans!

Why Cap and Trade?, Why Goldman Sachs?

We need to speak up loudly against the "Cap and Trade" bill that the administration will try to get enacted into law.

The "Cap and Trade" is a scheme to design the transfer of  funds of wealthy companies to the have nots by means of regulating invisible gases.

Glenn says:

"Environmentalists like Obama want this system because it will make prices skyrocket and people will be forced to use less energy."  Watch video...

GB says:  "So the main beneficiaries will be big corporations and proponents of the redistribution of wealth."

Things will cost money...yeah, our money.

Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX) operates North America’s only cap and trade system for all six greenhouse gases, with global affiliates and projects worldwide.

CCX  got funds from the Joyce Foundation.

GB says:

"There was one influential member on the board of the Joyce Foundation at the time the Chicago Climate Exchange got its seed money; someone instrumental in steering the funds towards the creation of the Chicago Climate Exchange. They were on the board from 1994-2002. The founder of the Chicago Climate Exchange, Richard Sandor, said that he "knew (this person) well,..."

(this person) is Barack Obama.

3. Richard Sandor says that this is a

10 trillion dollars

a year market.

Richard L. Sandor is Chairman and founder of the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX).

4.  Who else wants to be part of this 10 trillion dollar market?

GB says:

"London-based Generation Investment Management sees the earning potential as well. That's why they purchased a stake in Chicago Climate Exchange and are the fifth largest shareholder. The cofounder of the London-based firm? Former Vice President Al Gore. I say cofounder because some of the other founders include David Blood (former Goldman executive), Mark Ferguson (Goldman) and Peter Harris (Goldman)."

5.  What is needed now to move all their plans along is a bill made into law and the technology.

As reported by GB:

"The machinery, the device? A patent for such a device was worked on by CO2e.com CEO Carlton Bartels. Shortly after he filed for the patent on his system to trade residential carbon credits, he was killed in the 9/11 attacks. Bartels wife then shopped the idea around and was able to find a buyer. The buyer ended up being a guy who wasn't really a good guy, he committed massive accounting fraud and manipulated earnings in his company in order to make huge bonuses."

"That person was Franklin Raines, who just happened to be the CEO of Fannie Mae at the time. The patent was eventually approved by the U.S. Patent and Trade Office on Nov. 7, 2006 — coincidentally the day after Democrats took control of Congress. "

"So now, Fannie Mae, who is congressionally mandated to "make housing more affordable," is poised to reap billions on a system that has nothing to do with housing except for that it would make housing costs go up."

"Remember when Fannie purchased risky mortgages from banks, bundled them together and sold to investors as mortgage-backed securities? And then the housing market was absolutely destroyed? Well, former Fannie VP Scott Lesmes was responsible for that bundling.

Well, here's the good news: Not only will this new carbon trading "system" try the exact same bundling method (except with air); they are using the exact same guy: Scott Lesmes."

GB closes today's show with this:

"It's almost like Goldman is willing to take a little heat now, in order to get a little piece of the $10 trillion green pie later. I challenge the media: Will anyone pick this story up? Will anyone question this and the timing of it all?"

In closing, I just had to blog about Beck's show that exposed this web.  It sounds like the makings of a good movie, believable yet unbelievable!  Remember #1 of what Progressives want...part of 10 trillion dollars is a lot of power  and the government is definitely involved.

Voting in 2010

Obama is looking to pull in the young voters.

Why??

Many of our young people just turning 18 do not follow politics.  They are pursuing other goals.

Personally I am  proud  of those young people who take their vote seriously and do research themselves.  But unfortunately I think there are not many.

We must inform young voters of the Progressive agenda happening in the  future  of   their  country. 

Don't  leave our young adults out of the discussions.  The Progressives in this country won't and they know who to indoctrinate in order to "Fundamentally Transform America".

Progressives, what do they want?

Each day I am hit with something I need to write about on this blog.  It is so overwhelming!

If you do not watch Glenn Beck,  you should.  His shows this week have been really good.  He has been less silly lately and laying the information out succinctly and orderly.  When he first started the show he was more dramatic and I think that was to get people to watch.  The show has changed and really is the source for information that no one else is saying.  I like to do as much of my own research as possible, but it all gets so complicated.

I have been learning about the Progressive movement.

Today on Beck I learned that Progressives want 3 things:

1. To have big government and power/control.

2.To use Democratic elections and these get manipulated.

3. Social Justice which is a Marxism philosophy of redistributing the wealth, especially when coupled with 1 and 2 on the list.

  This is what is needed to fundamentally transform America to a Progressive nation.

Apathy or Culture Warrior, which are you?

Apathy (defined by the free online dictionary)

- Lack of interest or concern, especially regarding matters of general importance.

I get unnerved with responses to events of the day like:

"to each his own"

or

"tolerance".

Before this last presidential campaign I too was apathetic to politics.

I ,like many of us, was complacent in the expectation that everyone loved America as much as I.

My apathy changed when I heard that the man who wanted to be President of our Unites States had sat in a church and listened to a minister damn our beloved country'.

What???  And this presidential candidate never stood up to defend her!

After that, one of my pursuits led me to read Bill O'Reilly's book Culture Warrior.  Bill had me at the introduction. 

Let me share with you some of what he said:

"At times you have to fight.  No way around it.  At some point, every one of us is confronted with danger or injustice.  How we choose to combat the challenge is often life-defining."

I do not like conflict , but I like injustice even less.  As I reflect on how I deal with situations  of injustice I determine that I usually see both sides and that nullifies the injustice in my mind.  What is that saying about who I am...

Well, after reading this next part it became clearer to me as to why I can no longer see both sides to every situation.  Because in doing so I  had become apathetic.  

"Bill says:

I have chosen to jump into the fray and become a warrior in the vicious culture war that is currently under way in the United States of America."

"On one side of the battlefield are the armies of the traditionalists like me, people who believe the United States was well founded and has done enormous good for the world.

On the other side are the committed forces of the secular progressive movement that want to change America dramatically, mold it in the image of Western Europe."

As I continued to read Bill's book I began to define my beliefs and realized I must become a Culture Warrior.  I had been apathetic  for a long time, indifferent , and absorbed in other pursuits.  But what were the really important things to pursue?

Have apathy?  Not!

In the closing pages of Bill's book, he says:

"Think about all the changes you've seen in a lifetime."

"...change has been terrific and some of it horrific."

"It is our commitment as T-Warriors (Traditional) to hold on to the good and destroy the bad.  Because we do make judgments, traditional people are in a good position for that task, but only so long as our judgment are sound and based upon the true philosophy of America."

So as a T- Warrior my commitment is to:

Keep informed,
question with boldness,
hold to the truth,
and speak without fear.

I am reading books about the men, and the women that supported them, setting up a Constitution in America that remains strong, making us enviable throughout the world.  So much so that everyone desires to be an American!

I am glad to know I am not being apathetic anymore in my life.  As O'Reilly says:

"... I'll know that I have fought on the side of the angels."

"...there is a strong binding tradition that has made America the most successful country the world has ever seen."

Finally, if you live here you must love America.  If your apathetic about where you live than move to another country.  But I bet you'll be back.

"This is our country land that I love", I choose to love, protect and honor the traditions of America.  I am a Culture Warrior. Are You?

I recommend Bill O'Reilly's book to inspire you to become a Culture Warrior.   Don't be apathetic any longer.  Fight on the side of the angels and the men and women who gave so much of themselves to give us a Constitution with foresight and applicability to today's world.
