Why Cap and Trade?, Why Goldman Sachs?

''Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive''

We need to speak up loudly against the "Cap and Trade" bill that the administration will try to get enacted into law.

The "Cap and Trade" is a scheme to design the transfer of  funds of wealthy companies to the have nots by means of regulating invisible gases.

Glenn says:

"Environmentalists like Obama want this system because it will make prices skyrocket and people will be forced to use less energy."  Watch video...

GB says:  "So the main beneficiaries will be big corporations and proponents of the redistribution of wealth."

Things will cost money...yeah, our money.

Here is the web that is being spun.....

As laid out for us  on the Glenn Beck show.

Remember the 3 things Progressives want

...if you forgot click here.

progressives

1. The Joyce Foundation, a group that has money, from unknown donators, to give to other groups.

GB says: "Think of it as a place where uber-rich and powerful liberals like to dump their money into, so the cash can be spread around to their pet projects without a direct link.  The Joyce Foundation is like the George Soros' TIDES Foundation."

Mission Statement of the Joyce Foundation

"The Joyce Foundation supports efforts to protect the natural environment of the Great Lakes, to reduce poverty and violence in the region, and to ensure that its people have access to good schools, decent jobs, and a diverse and thriving culture. We are especially interested in improving public policies, because public systems such as education and welfare directly affect the lives of so many people, and because public policies help shape private sector decisions about jobs, the environment, and the health of our communities. To ensure that public policies truly reflect public rather than private interests, we support efforts to reform the system of financing election campaigns."

Chicago Climate Exchange

Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX) operates North America’s only cap and trade system for all six greenhouse gases, with global affiliates and projects worldwide.

CCX  got funds from the Joyce Foundation.

GB says:

"There was one influential member on the board of the Joyce Foundation at the time the Chicago Climate Exchange got its seed money; someone instrumental in steering the funds towards the creation of the Chicago Climate Exchange. They were on the board from 1994-2002. The founder of the Chicago Climate Exchange, Richard Sandor, said that he "knew (this person) well,..."

(this person) is Barack Obama.

3. Richard Sandor says that this is a

10 trillion dollars

a year market.

Richard L. Sandor is Chairman and founder of the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX).

4.  Who else wants to be part of this 10 trillion dollar market?

GB says:

"London-based Generation Investment Management sees the earning potential as well. That's why they purchased a stake in Chicago Climate Exchange and are the fifth largest shareholder. The cofounder of the London-based firm? Former Vice President Al Gore. I say cofounder because some of the other founders include David Blood (former Goldman executive), Mark Ferguson (Goldman) and Peter Harris (Goldman)."

5.  What is needed now to move all their plans along is a bill made into law and the technology.

As reported by GB:

"The machinery, the device? A patent for such a device was worked on by CO2e.com CEO Carlton Bartels. Shortly after he filed for the patent on his system to trade residential carbon credits, he was killed in the 9/11 attacks. Bartels wife then shopped the idea around and was able to find a buyer. The buyer ended up being a guy who wasn't really a good guy, he committed massive accounting fraud and manipulated earnings in his company in order to make huge bonuses."

"That person was Franklin Raines, who just happened to be the CEO of Fannie Mae at the time. The patent was eventually approved by the U.S. Patent and Trade Office on Nov. 7, 2006 — coincidentally the day after Democrats took control of Congress. "

"So now, Fannie Mae, who is congressionally mandated to "make housing more affordable," is poised to reap billions on a system that has nothing to do with housing except for that it would make housing costs go up."

"Remember when Fannie purchased risky mortgages from banks, bundled them together and sold to investors as mortgage-backed securities? And then the housing market was absolutely destroyed? Well, former Fannie VP Scott Lesmes was responsible for that bundling.

Well, here's the good news: Not only will this new carbon trading "system" try the exact same bundling method (except with air); they are using the exact same guy: Scott Lesmes."

GB closes today's show with this:

"It's almost like Goldman is willing to take a little heat now, in order to get a little piece of the $10 trillion green pie later. I challenge the media: Will anyone pick this story up? Will anyone question this and the timing of it all?"

In closing, I just had to blog about Beck's show that exposed this web.  It sounds like the makings of a good movie, believable yet unbelievable!  Remember #1 of what Progressives want...part of 10 trillion dollars is a lot of power  and the government is definitely involved.

You can read the transcript of this show here in case I missed something:

And there is more....

I could not find a transcript of the next days show.  Glenn Beck talked more about the tangled web and some of its major players.

Find out who is behind the Progressive movement in this country?

This article  sums it up.

Also here is another article about the first show:

Scandal: Obama, Gore, Goldman, Joyce Foundation CCX partners to fleece USA

Some interesting thinks to think about:

*Why is Goldman Sachs taking the fall and no one has been put in jail?

*Who all will be getting a piece of the 10 trillion dollar pie?

*Why should Fannie Mae have anything to do with the climate?

*How is all this part of the Progressive agenda?

* Where is the Washington Post on this one?  Are there no longer reporters like Woodward and Bernstein?

Can you think of more?

Should you be watching the Glenn Beck show?

Voting in 2010

Obama is looking to pull in the young voters.

Why??

Many of our young people just turning 18 do not follow politics.  They are pursuing other goals.

Personally I am  proud  of those young people who take their vote seriously and do research themselves.  But unfortunately I think there are not many.

We must inform young voters of the Progressive agenda happening in the  future  of   their  country.

Don't  leave our young adults out of the discussions.  The Progressives in this country won't and they know who to indoctrinate in order to "Fundamentally Transform America".

Progressives, what do they want?

Each day I am hit with something I need to write about on this blog.  It is so overwhelming!

If you do not watch Glenn Beck,  you should.  His shows this week have been really good.  He has been less silly lately and laying the information out succinctly and orderly.  When he first started the show he was more dramatic and I think that was to get people to watch.  The show has changed and really is the source for information that no one else is saying.  I like to do as much of my own research as possible, but it all gets so complicated.

I have been learning about the Progressive movement.

Today on Beck I learned that Progressives want 3 things:

1. To have big government and power/control.

2.To use Democratic elections and these get manipulated.

3. Social Justice which is a Marxism philosophy of redistributing the wealth, especially when coupled with 1 and 2 on the list.

This is what is needed to fundamentally transform America to a Progressive nation.

Apathy or Culture Warrior, which are you?

apathy

“By far the most dangerous foe we have to fight is apathy - indifference from whatever cause, not from a lack of knowledge, but from carelessness, from absorption in other pursuits, from a contempt bred of self satisfaction."

William Osler

Apathy (defined by the free online dictionary)

- Lack of interest or concern, especially regarding matters of general importance.

I get unnerved with responses to events of the day like:

"to each his own"

or

"tolerance".

Before this last presidential campaign I too was apathetic to politics.

I ,like many of us, was complacent in the expectation that everyone loved America as much as I.

My apathy changed when I heard that the man who wanted to be President of our Unites States had sat in a church and listened to a minister damn our beloved country'.

What???  And this presidential candidate never stood up to defend her!

After that, one of my pursuits led me to read Bill O'Reilly's book Culture Warrior.  Bill had me at the introduction.

Let me share with you some of what he said:

"At times you have to fight.  No way around it.  At some point, every one of us is confronted with danger or injustice.  How we choose to combat the challenge is often life-defining."

I do not like conflict , but I like injustice even less.  As I reflect on how I deal with situations  of injustice I determine that I usually see both sides and that nullifies the injustice in my mind.  What is that saying about who I am...

Well, after reading this next part it became clearer to me as to why I can no longer see both sides to every situation.  Because in doing so I  had become apathetic.

"Bill says:

I have chosen to jump into the fray and become a warrior in the vicious culture war that is currently under way in the United States of America."

"On one side of the battlefield are the armies of the traditionalists like me, people who believe the United States was well founded and has done enormous good for the world.

On the other side are the committed forces of the secular progressive movement that want to change America dramatically, mold it in the image of Western Europe."

As I continued to read Bill's book I began to define my beliefs and realized I must become a Culture Warrior.  I had been apathetic  for a long time, indifferent , and absorbed in other pursuits.  But what were the really important things to pursue?

IMG_0895

Have apathy?  Not!

In the closing pages of Bill's book, he says:

"Think about all the changes you've seen in a lifetime."

"...change has been terrific and some of it horrific."

"It is our commitment as T-Warriors (Traditional) to hold on to the good and destroy the bad.  Because we do make judgments, traditional people are in a good position for that task, but only so long as our judgment are sound and based upon the true philosophy of America."

So as a T- Warrior my commitment is to:

Keep informed,
question with boldness,
hold to the truth,
and speak without fear.

I am reading books about the men, and the women that supported them, setting up a Constitution in America that remains strong, making us enviable throughout the world.  So much so that everyone desires to be an American!

I am glad to know I am not being apathetic anymore in my life.  As O'Reilly says:

"... I'll know that I have fought on the side of the angels."

"...there is a strong binding tradition that has made America the most successful country the world has ever seen."

Finally, if you live here you must love America.  If your apathetic about where you live than move to another country.  But I bet you'll be back.

"This is our country land that I love", I choose to love, protect and honor the traditions of America.  I am a Culture Warrior. Are You?

I recommend Bill O'Reilly's book to inspire you to become a Culture Warrior.   Don't be apathetic any longer.  Fight on the side of the angels and the men and women who gave so much of themselves to give us a Constitution with foresight and applicability to today's world.
